High Grundon is a working agricultural farm one and a half miles from the picturesque village of Thornton Le Dale, in close proximity to a wide range of destinations for the active and the not so active, Dalby Forest (biking, hiking, concerts, nature walks, Go Ape and lots more), Mathewsons motor auction (home of TVs Bangers and Cash), Scarborough, Filey, Bridlington, Whitby, the old fishing villages of Robin Hoods Bay and Staithes make for a great day out, York (with the fabulous Minster and Jorvik viking centre, Museums and shopping centre) Malton, Eden Camp for a great experience of life during WW2, Flamingo Land Zoo and attractions are all close by with local fishing and golf courses. Goathland, of course famous as Aidensfield from TV's Heartbeat is well worth a trip, Pickering with its North Yorkshire Moor railway, swimming pool , Market and trout fishing lake.
High Grundon Cottages are conversions from old farm buildings, renovated to a high standard, offering a family friendly welcome and service to all.
A travel cot, baby gate and high chair are available on request. (please ask for these on booking, thank you ).
Please note if using a Sat Nav most will send you up Fox Lane. When you are approaching along Thornton Lane, the entrance to High Grundon is opposite the start of Fox Lane directly off Thornton Lane.
